Uninor GPRS settings for micromax PIKE phone

After searching for long on internet and after contacting the customer support (Uninor) with either of the two not providing detail information, I was able to figure out on my own how to activate GPRS settings for my micromax pike phone. So for those of you who are still facing difficulties in using internet on your micormax pike phone please see the settings as follows.

We can divide this in three parts.

Go to Main Menu à Connectivity

1)      Go to GPRS. Create a new account by the name Uninor Wap/ Internet/ MMS

APN – uninor

Auth. Type – Normal

Primary DNS – 10.58.10.58

Once this is done Save the account and go back to Data Account.

2)      Go to GSM data. Create a new account by the name Uninor Wap/ Internet/ MMS

Number – 8080

Line Type – Analogue

Speed – 14.4 Kbps

Primary DNS – 10.58.10.58

Once this is done Save the account and go back to Connectivity.

3)      Go to WAP à Settings à Edit Account à Select SIM à Select Service Provider (Uninor) à Edit Account

Account name – uninor

Homepage – www.google.co.in

Data account – Select à GPRS à Uninor Wap/ Internet/ MMS

Connection Type à HTTP à Select HTTP

Use Proxy – Yes

Proxy address – 10.58.10.58

Proxy port – 8080

Done

Save the changes.

Switch your mobile off for 2mins. Restart your mobile and try to open google in the WAP browser.

The above settings have worked for me. It should work for you too.
